HR/Payroll Manager-WA

Wonderful new opportunity with a global food manufacturer at its WA plant.  You will be the primary HR counsel for your division.  You'll be responsible for payroll system administration for plant, farm, and harvest personnel, benefits enrollment & administration, and compensation & performance management.  You'll ensure accuracy of HRIS records, maintain Worker's Compensation files, prepare & maintain Short- and Long-Term Disability cases, and provide counsel to managers and employees regarding hires, terminations, and disciplinary actions.  You will participate in policy reviews and help formulate changes to shape company policies in alignment with business objectives.  Compensation is 50-60K plus benefits.  Overtime may be required during harvest season.

We're looking for someone with a high level of integrity & discretion necessary to manage confidential & sensitive information.  This is a hands on position touching on all aspects of personnel/payroll management.  Attention to detail, extraordinary organizational skills, and the ability prioritize your work are critical skills.  You will interact with corporate HR managers & executives, plant managers, plant, farm, and harvest personnel so your communication skills are vital to your success in this position.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be bilingual
  • 3+ years Payroll & Benefits experience
  • 3+ years HR Generalist experience
  • CCP and/or PHR highly desired
  • Knolwedge & experience working with ADP, Ceridian, Ultimate Software or other payroll systems
  • Strong knowledge or payroll/HR laws regarding agriculture a plus
  • Outstanding communication & interpersonal skills
