Available immediately! Burke HR is actively seeking candidates for an HR Manager opportunity in IL. You will report directly to the president of a worldwide manufacturing company supporting its US operations. Your responsibilities will include a wide scope of HR activities including: benefits & compensation, employee relations, training & development, and recruiting & retention. You'll oversee facility administration including maintenance & safety, and furniture & equipment needs. You'll design & implement corporate-wide policies & procedures. This position has 3 direct reports. Compensation for this position is 70-75K plus an outstanding benefits package.

The right person for this position is a strong HR generalist with experience across multiple functional areas including supporting a large sales organization. Your ability to assess corporate needs and design superior solutions to company challenges is critical to your success. Experience working in a Japanese business culture would be helpful.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS degree in HR or business preferred
  • 5 years generalist experience, 2 years management level
  • SPHR/PHR desired
  • HRIS systems experience-PeopleSoft; payroll systems-ADP
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Computer proficiencies-MS Office
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills.
